Which NFL rookies have impressed the most so far this season?

Week Six with the NFL season approaching, weve chosen six of these rookies so much – with two of them being chosen out of the first round of the NFL Draft.
Theres loads of football left to play with after Week Five, which first-year players have exceeded expectations?
Here is our list of impressive rookies…
Minshew has become among the players in the NFL on and off the field this past year, along with his moustache taking much of the credit. After quarterback Nick Foles sustained a season-ending injury the 23-year-old was thrown in at the deep end during Week One.
Despite the Jaguars going on to lose the game from the Chiefs 40-26, Minshew finished 22/25 moves (88 per cent completion rate – the highest in Jaguars history) for 275 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He even threw 13 completions.
In general the sixth-round draft select – who was touted to be a bench-warmer – has thrown for 1,279 yards (13th) and nine touchdowns (tied-fourth) in his first four starts, that included victories over the Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos. His performance score of 105.6 is also the best in the NFL – greater than Tom Brady and Carson Wentz.
Despite the hot start of Minshew, it is unsure when Nick Foles proceeds next year, whether he will keep the starting job for the Jags. Foles will just be one year to his bumper deal – around $85 million dollars over the team is currently paying Minshew over exactly the identical time-frame.
The Raiders have a record of springs. Bo Jackson boasts that the second-best metres per carry average in NFL history with 5.4 (minimum 500 carries) and Marcus Allen is at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Could Jacobs become the next Raiders great?
The 21-year-old was chosen with one of those picks from the initial round the team obtained from the Chicago Bears. As Jacobs has awakened 430 rushing yards and four touchdowns so far it has been worth it for the Raiders.
His performance in a jersey came this past Sunday in the first of 3 International Series games held in London, at which he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns at the thrilling 24-21 win in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In the process, a record that was Raiders broke when he conquered Allen to the most rushing yards by a rookie through the first five weeks of a season. The Alabama stud has set himself up to build a career with the Raiders.
Despite earlier this week after Jay Gruden has been fired, the Redskins sitting at 0-5 and without a head coach, Terry McLaurin was the sole bright spark with this franchise. The third round draft selection, also known asScary Terry, scored a touchdown in each of the first three games, such as on his debut in which he had five receptions and 125 yards along with a score.
McLaurin has played, he has caught 19 passes for 308 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also leads the Redskins in both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
After missing Washingtons Week Four conquer the New York Giants, McLaurin returned from the Patriots Sunday but was not involved due. He looks set to become fit to their next game against the Miami Dolphins, and with both teams winless and appearing helpless on defense, McLaurin may add some numbers.
Exactly why his name has been known so early in the Draft burns was selected from the Panthers and has shown. The former Florida State pass rusher has helped the Panthers typical four sacks a game through five matches – choosing up 3.5 himself in the procedure.
The 21-year-old has also registered 14 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The recovery finished up running it back for a touchdown and came against the Jaguars this past Sunday.
Even the Steelers used the 10th overall selection on Bush, that had been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 in the 2019 draft and was appointed an All-American. Hes brought his mindset into the NFL from his Michigan Wolverines days. The 21-year-old was fantastic for the Steelers defense, even regardless of their 1-4 record.
Hes enrolled 45 tackles, 1 interception, one sack and three fumble recoveries – that leads the group in all types. Without Bush, this group may be in a much bigger mess, although its rare for a group like the Steelers to rely heavily on a beginner.
Savage has been one of the leaders on this new-look Green Bay Packers defense that has taken the league by surprise. Theyre just giving up an average of 16.8 points a game so far, and Savage is a big reason why.
The 22-year-old includes 18 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception – the selection being crucial in the Packers 27-16 victory. He halted Joe Flacco on the border of the red zone because the Ravens were driving downfield using the score at 24-16.
Baltimore Ravens receiver Marquise Brown leads all rookies in receiving yards with 326 and 3 touchdowns, while Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson has hauled in 11 catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns.
Defensively, border rushers Josh Allen (Jaguars) and Chase Winovich (Patriots) have both shown that they have bright futures in the NFL. Allen and Winovich has three sacks, 18 tackles and a forced fumble and four sacks and seven tackles, respectively.
And Daniel Jones and top-10 picks Kyler Murray will be at the end of the season in the mix for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Jones has rejuvenated the Giants, although Murray picked up his first win and seems to be on the rise.
